KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Heartland Healthcare Providers (HHP), a Midwest travel nursing agency, will now be known as Ethos Medical Staffing.
Founded by nurses in 2015, Ethos works to improve communities by changing how health care is delivered and empowering medical professionals in their pursuit of adventure, opportunity and service. Ethos serves as an advocate for travel nurses, treating them like a priority while they care for others.
The organization recently changed its name from HHP to Ethos to both strengthen its brand and pursue new growth initiatives and opportunities that align with the organization’s mission:
“Ethos by definition is the ‘characteristic spirit of a culture or community, manifested in its beliefs and aspirations,’” said Jeff Stoner, president of Ethos. “We work every day to empower medical professionals, which is why we’ve recently rebranded. We’re focused on the communities we serve, changing the way health care is delivered, and we’re thrilled for this new chapter of our organization.”
Stoner previously worked in a traditional hospital for two years before becoming a traveling nurse in 2014. During that time, he recognized a need for a traveling nurse business that could navigate legal and compliance issues, provide top talent to medical institutions, and keep up with the industry’s rapid growth. He also realized a need for better pay, benefits and security for traveling nurses.
He and his wife – also a nurse – then set out to provide a work environment focused on authenticity and building real relationships while improving the health and overall well-being of the small towns and communities they serve.
